A high output alternator in a C45 early short type dynamo body.

It has the rear take off for the tacho drive and is a direct replacement for your original dynamo.

Looks like a dynamo but is a lightweight alternator

Machined from a solid block of aluminium the alternator is designed to look just like a Lucas C45 dynamo but offers the advantage of the vastly improved charging abilities of the alternator.

aIt offers around 80% more power producing 50 amps and at the same time reduces weight by about 40%.

Not only do you get the advantages of an alternator but reliability is improved even further as the control box is no longer needed  and can be removed or just bypassed if you want to retain the under bonnet look of your classic car.
